Suzanne Gaston Mears

Age 84, of Canton, passed away Sat., Feb. 11, 2023.  She was born June 23, 1938 in Canton, a daughter of the late Richard and Thelma (Derby) Gaston, and was a life resident.  Suzanne was a 1956 graduate of Lehman High School, and was retired from Ohio Power Co. after ten years' service, where she was a secretary. She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Rod Mears, on April 4, 2018.  Suzanne is survived by a daughter and son, Randi Mears and Robert (Bobbi) Mears, two grandchildren, Rachel and Ryan, and a sister, Collette Everhart.

Services will be held Thursday at 5 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Jake Tovissi officiating.  Friends may call Thursday 3-5 p.m. before the service. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneral homes.com
