OBITUARY FOR FRIDAY REPOSITORY WITH PICTURE: Susan K. (Rich) Reed Age 54, of Canton, passed away Thursday morning in her home surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous six year battle with cancer. She was born in Canton, a daughter of Roland and Fran (Fronsman) Rich, of Canton, and was a life resident of this area. Susan was a 1976 graduate of Timken Vocational High School where she was in the band and on the swimming team. She retired June 1, 2010 from AEP, after 33 years' service, where she was an Administrative Assistant. While at AEP she was in charge of Corporate Cup and played volleyball, was active in several leagues, and was a Hall of Fame Festival volunteer for many years. Susan was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple, and was Assistant Director for Junior Girls LPGA-USGA Golf. She was an excellent and avid golfer and was a member of Springwood Lake Camp Club. Susan enjoyed traveling with her husband on cruises and golf trips. She was a big fan of the Cleveland Indians, Browns, and Cavaliers, and the OSU Buckeyes, and immensely enjoyed watching her nieces and nephews in their many activities. Besides her parents, Susan is survived by her husband, Bill Reed, with whom she would have celebrated their 14th Wedding Anniversary on Nov. 14th; her sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Rick Williams, of Massillon, her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Christine Rich, of Bolivar, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Mark Hunt and Rev. Jim Henniger officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery in Waynesburg. Friends may call Sunday 2-5 p.m. and Monday 10-11 a.m. before the service.
