Obituary

Sue H. Lloyd    1922 – 2016

Age 94, of Canton, passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2016.  She was born August 15, 1922 in Buffalo, NY to John A. and Margaret (Rogers) Halstead, grew up and graduated from high School (St. Augustine Academy) in Lakewood, OH.  Sue attended four years of college at St. Mary's of Notre Dame, Indiana, where six weeks before graduating as an RN, she was required by St. Mary's to drop out in order to marry her deploying WW II B24 pilot, Austin "Bud" Lloyd.  Together, they went on to celebrate the birth of 12 children and the gift of 44 years of a marriage that few couples or families have ever had the luck and privilege to have been a part of.  Her family continues to grow with32 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren…all thought of by her as this earth's greatest blessings.  In turn, she will be remembered by her family and many friends as the kindest, most generous, strong, witty, fun loving gal you could ever know.  Mom's touch will be felt and passed on  through the generations.  Preceded in death in addition to her parents and husband are sons John (Dody) Lloyd, Chuck (Linda) Lloyd, daughter, Abby Lloyd, and son-in-law, Vic Pachan.  Mom leaves behind children: Jim (Karen) Lloyd, Scott (Wendy) Lloyd, Roger (Nora) Lloyd, Martha Pachan, Ted (Molly) Lloyd, Molly (Dave) Carlson, Amy (Matt) Pachan, Dan (Patty) Lloyd, and Kerry (Tom) Antenucci.  There will be no calling hours or services.  "Granny" would love any memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
