Steve A. Moore

Age 60, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022.  He was born May 15, 1962 in Orrville, OH, a son of Harry Moore of Orrville, and the late Kathleen (Woods) Moore, and had been a Canton resident 22 years.  Steve was a 1982 graduate of Orrville High School.  He loved working with people and especially in restaurants.  He made people comfortable, welcome, and appreciated, especially his coworkers.  Steve's favorite job was in customer service with AirTran Airlines at Akron-Canton Airport.

Surviving besides his father is his husband, David Swart, whom he married March 21, 2004 in Maui, HI, a sister, Lisa (Gary) Lepley, a brother, Rodney (Tina) Moore, nieces and nephews and two great-nieces and one great-nephew, Jennifer (Robbie) Strickland, and their children, Josh and Grayson, Casie (Kevin) Kesner, and their daughter, Isabella, Brant Moore, Michaela Wardell, Jessica Lepley, and Jarrod Lepley.

A Memorial Service will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. in Orrville Baptist Church with Rev. Michael May officiating.  There will be no calling hours. The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home in Canton is handling arrangements.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
