Silas Isaacs, Jr.

Age 84, of Mineral City, passed away Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017.  He was born in Rome, NY, a son of the late Silas and Alpha (Russell) Isaacs, Sr., was raised in Lancaster, OH, and had been a Mineral City resident since 1969.  Silas retired in 1993 from The Timken Co., after 36 years service, where he was a machine operator.  He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  He is survived by his wife, Ida M. Isaacs, with whom he celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on March 9th; two daughters, Rebecca Hunter and Rachel Isaacs, and two sons, Silas Isaacs III, and Timothy Isaacs; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Timothy (Debra) and their children Evelyn and Eddie, Tyler, Clayton, David, Elizabeth, Erin, Grace, Clara, Abigail, Christopher, Carter, Toria, and Todd; two sisters, Cindy Holbrook and Carol Kirby; two brothers, Paul Isaacs and jimmy Isaacs, who are Honorary Pallbearers.  Services will be held Wed. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Karma Burton officiating.  Interment will be in German Cemetery.  Friends may call Wed. 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home before the service.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
