Shirley A. Walsh Age 74, of East Sparta, passed away Sat. afternoon in Aultman Hospital. She was born in Malvern, a daughter of the late James T. and Goldie Decker Gamber, and was a life resident of the Sandy Valley area. Shirley was a 1952 graduate of East Sparta High School. She retired in Jan. of 2002 from Sandy Valley Local Schools, after 27 years service, where she was a bus driver and also worked in the cafeteria at the high school. Shirley was a member of East Sparta Christian Church, where she had served as Treasurer for many years, and was very active in all church functions. Preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Thomas A. Walsh, on Dec. 3, 2001, one brother and two sisters, Richard Gamber, Grace Reed, and Irene Yockey. Survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Milton Peralta, of Cincinnati, OH, Cynthia and Robert Fieler, of Atlanta, GA, and Barbara and David Boyd, of Columbus, OH; five grandchildren, Denielle Peralta Endres and her husband, Daniel, Allison Peralta, Andrew Fieler, Erika Boyd, and Michael Boyd; one great-grandson, Dominic Peralta Endres; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Katherine Baughman, Florence and George Miller, Martha and Ronald Molnar, all of Malvern, and Bernice Kibler, of N. Canton; a sister-in-law and her husband, Dixie and Donald May, of Magnolia; and many loving nieces and nephews who were so helpful to their Aunt Shirley. Services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in East Sparta Christian Church with Jack Wingate officiating. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville.
