Shirley J. Pikus,

Age 63, of Canton, passed away Sun., Aug. 25, 2024.  She was born June 1, 1961, in Akron, a daughter of the late John and Janice "Marilyn" (MacBeth) Grof, Sr.  Shirley was the owner of Pikus Real Estate and Property Management and attended NewPointe Community Church.  She is remembered as a business leader and problem solver, ethical and determined, loved by family and friends.  She enjoyed attending country music concerts, painting with acrylics, and working with stained glass.  She excelled at interior decorating, and created many beautiful homes, including her own.  She is survived by her husband, Patrick Pikus; two daughters, Lauren Pikus and Bre Pikus; two sons, Sean Pikus and Garrett Pikus; two brothers and one sister-in-law, John (Kathy) Grof, Jr and Michael Grof; and one grandson, Johnny Pikus.  Services will be held Fri. at 11 am in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home.  Friends may call Thur. from 6-8 pm and Fri. 10-11 am in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in support of one of Shirley's dear friends, who is undergoing treatment for cancer.  Amy Wengerd is in charge of donations.  Checks (in memo: "fight cancer") may be made out to Amy Wengerd and mailed to: 4678 Munson St. NW, Canton, OH  44718; online donations may be made at: https://www.gofundme.com/f/honor-shirley-support-her-friends-cancer-battle .  Donations may also be made to: Compassion Delivered, a support organization for families impacted by cancer, at 1320 Bel Air Dr. NW, North Canton, OH 44720.
