SHIRLEY J. HELMICK, Age 81, of East Sparta, passed away Tues. morning in Aultman Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Massillon, a daughter of the late Ralph and Myrtle Bair Lightfoot and had been an East Sparta resident 12 years. She had an extensive doll collection with Shirley Temple dolls being her favorite, and enjoyed giving them as gifts. Preceded in death by two husbands, Lawrence Fink and James Lilly, son William Fink, two sisters, Nancy Henry and Joanne Mathey, and a great granddaughter, Shelbi Martin. Survived by her husband, Raymond B. Helmick, with whom she would have celebrated their 48th Wedding Anniversary the day after her death; two daughters and a son-in-law, Diane Martin, of East Sparta, and Sonja Debbie and Ed Hardesty, of Waynesburg; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Tammy Lilly, of East Sparta, and Raymond and Jenny Helmick, Jr., of Navarre; a stepson and his wife, Kelly and Lisa Wengard, of Mt. Vernon, OH; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was a caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her pretty smile, sweet demeanor, and good sense of humor will be deeply missed. Services will be conducted Fri. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Peggy Garner officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
