Sheryl A. Nicholson

Age 53, of Magnolia, passed away Friday evening, Oct. 9, 2015, in University Hospital in Cleveland.  She was born in Dover, a daughter of Lenora (Giles) Gross, of Magnolia, and the late Charles "Pete" Gross, and was a Magnolia resident most of her life.  Sheryl was a 1980 graduate of Sandy Valley High School, and received her Nursing Degree from Kent State University, Tuscarawas Branch, and had been Valedictorian of both her classes.  She had been a Registered Nurse at Union and Aultman Hospitals.  Sheryl was a member of St. Paul's Community Church in Mineral City.  She enjoyed camping with her family at Atwood Lake and going out on their pontoon boat, sewing, and traveling.  But most of all she loved just spending time with her granddaughter, Ella.  She also was preceded in death by a brother, Charles "Chuck" Gross.  Surviving besides her mother is her husband, Scott B. Nicholson, with whom she celebrated their 34th Wedding Anniversary on March 6th; one daughter and son-in-law, Tabitha and Andrew Wilhelm, and their daughter, Ella, of Sevierville, TN; one son, Lucas Nicholson, of Magnolia; one sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Ed Glennon, of Magnolia; one brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Michelle Gross, of New Philadelphia; also numerous nieces and nephews.  Services will be held Wed. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with her brother, Pastor Mark Gross officiating.  Interment in Magnolia Cemetery.  Friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
