Shelly F. Lewis Age 54, of Mineral City, passed away Sat. evening, June 30, 2012, in Aultman Hospital. She was born in Dennison, OH, a daughter of the late Carl and Emogene (Coleman) Rankin, and had been a Mineral City resident 20 years. Shelly was a 1976 graduate of Claymont High School, and was retired from Morning View Care Center, after 20 years' service, where she was a Nurses' aide. She was a member of Dennison United Methodist Church. Shelly loved kids and enjoyed taking them for rides on the golf cart, and just loved having them around, and helping raise everyone else's kids too. She also enjoyed animals and birds. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Corinna Rankin. Survived by her husband, Danny R. Lewis, with whom she would have celebrated their 14th Wedding Anniversary on August 1st; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jennifer Clarke, of Dover, and Amy and Tony Baum, of Kenton, OH; one son, Lance Rankin, of Mineral City; her beloved grandchildren, Devin, Nyoka, and Mya; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carla & Lee Ferguson, of Dennison, and Lisa Beam, of Midvale; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruce and Lori Rankin, of Uhrichsville, and Rex and Brenda Rankin, of Byesville; her best friend, Raeann McMath, of New Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Samuel Ladrach officiating. Interment in German Cemetery.
