Sharon A. Reed Age 64, of Canton South, passed away Tuesday afternoon in her home. She was born in Canton, a daughter of the late Harvey and LaVerne (McKinney) Keeney, and was a life resident of the East Sparta-Canton South area. Sharon was a 1966 graduate of Sandy Valley High School and also a graduate of Akron University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Assistance. She retired in 2005 from Doctors Hospital, after 29 years' service, where she was a Respiratory Therapist. Sharon was a member of North Industry United Methodist Church and the Canton South Junior Guild, and was an Assistant Girl Scout Leader in East Sparta. Preceded in death by a brother, Larry McKinney. Survived by her husband, David O. Reed, with whom she celebrated their 46th Wedding Anniversary on June 18th; one daughter, Suzette Reed, of the Canton area; one son and daughter-in-law, David O. and Michelle Reed II, of Blacklick, OH; one granddaughter, Megan Reed-Taylor; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Susie Keeney, of Bowerston; and her mother-in-law, Betty Reed, of Magnolia. Services will be held Sat. at 12 Noon in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Jeri K. Johnson officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.
