Shane K. Stamey, Sr. Age 35, of Canton, passed away Tuesday afternoon in Aultman Hospital. He was born in Canton and was a life resident, and a 1994 graduate of McKinley High School. Shane was an installer for NCI Cable Contractors. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Cavaliers fan. Survived by his fiancee, Shawntay Broad, and two children, Jaucelyn "Pooh" Stamey, and Shane "Manny" Stamey, Jr., all of the home; his mother, Sandee Stamey, of Alliance; his father and step-mother, Clinton and Melinda Stamey, of Canton; one sister, Sheila Daniska, of Canton; two nephews and four nieces, who were very close to Shane, Tausha, Tia, Lysi, Ree, Corey, and Jimmy. Services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Scott officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Shane's memory may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
