Scott E. Gay Sr., 55, passed away suddenly November 11, 2015.  He was born May 30, 1960 and graduated from McKinley HS in 1978.  He was a highly regarded driver and trainer for Maverick Transportation.  His Masonic ties were strong, having served as Past Master Councilor, Chapter Dad and Chevalier in DeMolay, twice Past Master of Lathrop Lodge #676, F. & A.M. and member of Canton Lodge #60, F. & A.M. Past Worthy Patron of Delta Chapter OES, and a member of Nazir Grotto.  Scott was the life of every party and his big smile, loud voice and bear hugs will be sorely missed.  He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, Paw, mentor and friend. Preceded in death by his father James Gay.  Survived by his loving wife Cynthia Gay (his Cindy-girl); son Scott Gay Jr. (Jenni); mother Constance; stepchildren Tony, Steven (Desiree), and Nicole Cespedes; grandchildren Aubree and Carson Cespedes; siblings JoEllen Welch, Ron (Lori) Gay, Roger (Madonna) Gay, special nephews and nieces, and a host of family and friends. Services will be held Monday at 7 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with The Reverend Amy E.
