Sarah Morckel

Age 92, of Magnolia, passed away Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021.  She was born Nov. 30, 1928 in Millersburg, OH, a daughter of the late Monroe and Mary (Bontrager) Miller, resided in N. Lauderdale, FL from 1989-1995, and Magnolia since 1995.  Sarah had been Manager of the Juli-Fe View Country Club, located between Orrville and Wooster.  She was a member of East Sparta United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women of the church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children's father, Simon Hershberger, her second husband, Walter W. Morgan, a son Monroe Hershberger, two brothers and five sisters, Mose, William  J. and Ruth Miller, Mattie Hershberger, Fannie Wengerd, Annie Graber, and Vera Cook, and a grandson, Joseph Snodgrass.  Sarah is survived by her husband, David O. Morckel, with whom she celebrated their 30th Wedding Anniversary on April 6th, three daughters, Mary Jane Snodgrass, Laura Mae (Phil) Rhodes, and Monica Ann Ellison, a step-daughter, Teresa Cufman, three stepsons, Thomas (Isabel) Morgan, David (Pat) Morckel, and Charles Morckel, two brothers, Isaac Miller, and Paul (Barbara) Miller, 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Peggy Garner officiating.  Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. with social distancing and facial covering observed, and limiting ten people at a time in the chapel in addition to the family.  Interment will be in Liberty Cemetery at Oneida, OH.  The service will be live streamed starting at 10:45 a.m. Friday.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
