Sara R. Lozier
age 89 of East Sparta, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021. She was born September 10, 1931 in Conneautville, PA, a daughter of the late Raymond and Edith (Foster) Austin, and had been a resident of East Sparta 58 years. She and her husband had spent a number of winters in Florida. Sara was a 1948 graduate of Conneautville High School and a 1953 graduate of Allegheny College. For many years Sara served as a Registered Nurse at the Doctor's Office in East Sparta and Magnolia for Drs. Crouch, Oberer, Nicoletti and Gashash. She was a member of East Sparta United Methodist Church and the Women's Club of the church, and also was very active in St. John's United Methodist Church in Sarasota, FL. Sara was a member of the Auxiliary of Isaac L. Kinney American Legion Post #244 in East Sparta. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Donald R. "Don" Lozier, on Jan. 22, 2013, one sister and two brothers, Mary Bleicher, James and Arthur Austin. Sara is survived by one daughter and three sons, Margaret "Peggy" and Richard Hill, Daniel (Cindy) Lozier, William (Laura) Lozier, Theodore (Beth) Lozier, 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Sat., March 13, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Peggy Garner officiating. Interment will be in East Sparta Cemetery.
