Sandra K. Easterday

Age 68, of East Sparta, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016, in Aultman Compassionate Care Center.  She was born in Canton, a daughter of the late Clyde and Agnes (Albers) Risher, and had been an East Sparta resident since 1966.  Sandy was a 1965 graduate of Perry High School. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and Pike Grange #1669.  Sandy was an avid bowler at East Sparta Recreation and Colonial Lanes.  She was a reporter for the Press News and wrote the "Talk of the Town" for East Sparta.  Sandy enjoyed going to lunch with the "Richville Girls" and especially loved taking her grandchildren to garage sales.  Survived by her husband, Robert D. Easterday, with whom she celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Jan. 22nd; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Darrell Walker, of Stanford, IL, Becky and Todd Bowman, of Magnolia, and Stacy Easterday, of Blacklick, OH; three grandchildren, Taylor Lowder, Brock and Jack Bowman; one sister, Cindy Radcliff, of Navarre; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Linda Risher, and Art and Connie Risher, all of Canton, and Ron and Patty Risher, of Mt. Gilead, OH; two special sisters-in-law, Jean Schoonover and Jane (Sal) Butera; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Services will be held Wed. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Michael Bradford officiating.  Interment in Bowman Cemetery.  Friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m.  A Grange service will be held at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.  Contributions in Sandy's memory may be made to Aultman Compassionate  Care Center, 2821 Woodlawn Ave. NW, Canton, OH 44708, or to the donor's favorite charity.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
