Sally A. Spitale,

Age 89, of Louisville, passed away Sat., Dec. 17, 2022.  She was born Aug. 22, 1933, a daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Shaffer) Hodge.  Sally was a 1951 graduate of Timken High School, graduated from Cosmetology School, and was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.  We will miss her welcoming nature and laughter and her love of cooking and baking.  For those who remember her as the hotdog lady at OLOP, she always smiled remembering all of you.  Preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Sisterhen, and two brothers, Larry and Donald Hodge.  Survived by her husband, Mauro Spitale, with whom she celebrated their 67th Wedding Anniversary on Nov. 26; two daughters and one son-in-law, Anita DeHoff, and Rita (Ron) Mayle; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike (Lori) Spitale; one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy (Dave) Bailey; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gene (Sony) Sisterhen; five grandchildren, Stacey (Brent) DeHoff-Smith, Vanessa (Michael) Patrick, Thomas (Kat) Mayle, Elisa Spitale, and Natalie Spitale; one great granddaughter, Rory Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wed. at 11 am in St. Anthony All Saints Parish, 1530 11th St. SE, Canton, OH 44707, with Fr. Thomas Kraszewski as Celebrant.  Interment in Calvary Cemetery.  There will be no calling hours.  The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sally's memory may be made to: Michael J.
