Ruth E. Young Age 92, a resident of the Canton Christian Home, passed away there Sat. evening. She was born in Canton, a daughter of the late Lester and Myrtle Smallfield Fohl, and was a life resident. Ruth was a 1936 graduate of McKinley High School. She retired in 1979 from Pepsico Inc., after over 30 years service, where she was a dispatcher and rate clerk, and also worked in accounts receivable. Ruth was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church and Canton Chapter #190, Order of Eastern Star. Preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, William H. Young, on Aug. 29, 2007, and a niece, Charlene Vogley, on Feb. 25, 2010. Survived by a nephew, Gary Vogley, of East Sparta, and his children, Elaine Oliver, of East Sparta, Sherri George, of Canton, and Stefanie Liberator and her husband, Tony, of North Canton. Interment was in Sunset Hills Burial Park, and a private Memorial Service for the family will be held in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home.
