Ruth I. McNinch
Age 88, a resident of the Canton Christian Home, passed away there Thursday morning. She was born in Burgettstown, PA, a daughter of the late Bruce and Minnie (Ruth) McNinch, and grew up on a Carroll County farm. Ruth was a graduate of Carrollton High School and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Muskingum College. She taught 40 years at Harlem Springs, Medina Wooster and Alliance Schools. Ruth was a member of ORTA, the Ohio Retired Teachers Association, and First United Presbyterian Church of Alliance. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and George McNinch. She is survived by three sisters and two brothers-in-law, twins Hilda (Homer) Draher and Wilda McNinch, both of the Canton Christian Home, and Juanita (Walter) Legge, of Lebanon, OH; and a sister-in-law, Audrey McNinch, of Carrollton. She enjoyed eight nephews, three nieces, nine grand-nephews, eleven grand-nieces, and a great-grand- nephew and a great-grand-niece. Services will be held Sat. at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Canton Christian Home with Chaplain Ron Iwanusa officiating. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery.
