Ruth A. Larson
Age 83, of Magnolia, passed away Wed. afternoon in Aultman Hospital. She was born in Waco, OH, a daughter of the late Zeriah and Alma Simms Smith, and had been a Magnolia resident 53 years. Ruth was a 1947 graduate of Canton South High School and was retired from TRW Metals (PCC Airfoils) in Minerva. She was a life member of Sponseller Grange and the Magnolia Historical Society. Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John F. Larson, on Sept. 14, 2010, an infant son, Alvin Larson, a great-granddaughter, Emma Lynn Grigsby, two brothers, Robert and Walter Smith, and a sister, Virginia Smith. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Kenneth Grigsby, of Dellroy; her son and daughter-in-law, John and Becky Larson, Jr., of Magnolia; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, Angela Lute and her husband, Kenneth, and their daughters, Abigail and Ava, Jennifer Grigsby and Don Sharpless and their children, Anthony John and Leah Rose, Melissa Gantz and her husband, Jordan, and their daughter, Claire, Katelyn Larson, and Allison Larson; one sister and brother-in-law, Marie Gouge and Carson Miller, of Ruskin, FL; one brother and sister-in-law, William and Gaylene Smith, of East Canton; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Smith, of Louisville, and Virginia Bell, of Waco; numerous nieces and nephews; and her and John's beloved dog, Roscoe. Services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Steven M. Smith officiating. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery.
