RUBY CORSE

Ruby Hamlin Corse, who lived in Waynesburg and Massillon, Ohio most of her life, passed away on July 13, 2016 in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she had been living the last year. She almost made it to her 97th birthday!  She is preceded in death by her husband Michael Corse, who was 94 when he passed. They were married for 64 amazing years. They met and married during WWII in which Mike served as a pilot. Ruby is survived by 3 children: Phillip, Stephen and Teri (Siber); by 7 grandchildren and by 6 great grandchildren.  Ruby was a spirited, religious and tough minded "Southern Lady" who loved and cherished her wonderful family. She especially got a kick out of teasing her great grandchildren. Ruby, always vibrant, playful and full of life, enjoyed making people wonder what her nuanced comments and questions really meant. Her smile, wit and laughter will be greatly missed.  Calling hours will be 10-11 am on Saturday July 23 at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home, 266 N. Main St., Magnolia, Ohio.  She will be buried next to Mike in the Sandy Valley Cemetery in Waynesburg Ohio at a graveside service at 11:30 on Saturday, July 23, 2016.
