Ruby Beach
Age 102, of Canton, passed away early Friday morning in Hennis Care Centre in Bolivar. She was born in Canterbury, WV, a daughter of the late William and Minnie Herbert Jarrell, and had been a Canton resident since 1921. Ruby had been a sub mail carrier for several years in the 1950's in rural Canton and Perry Township. She was a member of First Wesleyan Methodist Church in Canton. Preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Beach, on Feb. 17, 1942, a son, Richard Beach, a great-grandson, Jeremy, and her brother, Henry Jarrell. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Walt Barnes, of Canton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Linda Beach, of Canton, John and Billie Beach, of Massillon, and Bill and Nancy Beach, of Bayonet Pointe, FL; four sisters, Hazel Jarrell, Irene Jarrell, Ruth Gerber-Hall, and Thelma Mauter, all of Canton; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan L. Troyer officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday afternoon 2-4 p.m.
