RODNEY K. HARSH,
Age 67, of Canton, passed away Tues., May 3, 2016. Born in Canton, a son of Keith and Barbara (Zerbe) Harsh, he had been a life resident of Canton. Rod was a 1966 graduate of Perry High School, served with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired as a Canton City Police Officer. He was a member of First Christian Church, the Fraternal Order of Police, American Legion Post #44, and a Founding Member of Yesterday's Classics Car Club. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Linda (Kessel) Harsh, with whom he celebrated their 43rd Wedding Anniversary on Apr. 28; one sister and brother-in-law, Sharlyn and Ted Baird; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Neil and Diane Harsh and Timothy Harsh; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held Wed. at 1 p.m. in Heritage Hall of the First Christian Church in Canton with Rev. Jeffrey Bullock officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Wed., two hours before the service, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rod's memory may be made to: First Christian Church, 6900 Market Ave N, Canton, OH 44721.
