Robert J. Schlup

Age 85, of Navarre, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016.  He was born in Canton, a son of the late Phillip and Bernice (Smith) Schlup, and was a life resident of this area.  Bob was a 1948 graduate of Canton South High School.  He retired from The Timken Co. in 1991, after 41 ½ years' service, where he was a machine repairman.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Linda Schlup, and two brothers, Richard and Gerald Schlup.  He is survived by his wife, Doris L. Schlup, with whom he celebrated their 62nd Wedding Anniversary on July 14, 2015; one daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Michael Wenzinger, of California, and one son, Eric Schlup, of Perry Township; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, Eric Schlup, Jr., Aleesa Schlup de Barron and her daughter, Samantha "Sammie", Stuart and Shawn Wenzinger; and one brother, Phillip Schlup, of North Canton.   According to Mr. Schlup's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob's memory may be made to: The Gideon's International, PO Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
