Robert L. Owens 1927-2015

Age 87, of Magnolia, passed away Wed., August 5, 2015, in his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Mingo Junction, OH, a son of the late Henry and Margaret (Cox) Owens, and had been a Magnolia resident most of his life.  Bob was a 1945 graduate of Bridgeport High School.  He retired in 2001 from Ford Motor Co., after 40 years' service, where he was a Tool & Die Maker.  Bob was a member of St. James Catholic Church.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Jean E. Owens, on June 24, 2014, and a brother, John Owens.  Survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Mary Hoce, and Karen and Ricci Camarata, all of Canton, Jackie and Kevin Evans, of Malvern, and Janie Owens, of Ft. Meyers, FL; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Joseph and Darlie Owens, Denny Owens, and Jon Owens, all of Magnolia, Bob and Michelle Owens, of Canton, and Michael and Nicki Owens, of Bolivar; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Ben and Geneva Owens, of Malvern, and Charles Owens, of Hartville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Zamary as Celebrant.  Interment in Magnolia Cemetery with Full Milirary Honors.  Friends may call Sunday 2-5 p.m. at Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob's memory may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 400 W.
