Robert K. Murphy
Age 77, of Sandyville, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, in Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia. He was born, Oct. 22, 1937, in Barnesville, OH, a son of the late Densle and Ada (Grant) Murphy, and resided in Sandyville since Jan. of 1962. Bob was a 1955 graduate of Barnesville High School. He retired March 31, 1997 from The Timken Co., after 38 years service, where he was a piercing mill operator. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and sister, Densle Murphy, Jr., and Elaine Daniels. He was the beloved husband of Doris L. Murphy, with whom he celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary on Sept. 28, 2014; he was the loving and devoted father of three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Enzo Bagnoli, of North Canton, Julie and Chris Nolan, and Debbie and Marty Jacoby, all of Sandyville, and two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Barbara Murphy, of Dover, and Duane and Kim Murphy, of Mineral City; he also cherished his eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Stephanie Murphy, and her children, Erick and Elissa, Stacy (Mike) Gordon and their daughter, Avery, Greg Murphy, Marciano Bagnoli, Desiree (Dustin) Mosberger, and their children, Alec and Kirstin, Kyle Murphy, Adam and Kristopher Jacoby; he also was survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Barbara Mann, of Barnesville, and Judy and Joe Yurina, of Atlanta, GA; two brothers and a sister-in-law, David and Carolyn Murphy, of East Sparta, and Randy Murphy, of Odessa, TX. A graveside service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville with Hospice Chaplain Duane Quesenberry officiating. There will be no calling hours.
