Robert J. McKinney Age 64, of East Sparta, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011, in his home. He was born in Canton, a son of the late Donald and Mary Alyce James McKinney, and was a life resident of East Sparta. Bob was a 1965 graduate of Sandy Valley High School. He had been a machinist for several local companies. Bob was a member of Mensa and the National Rifle Association. Survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ann and Jack Hood, of Perry Heights, and Linda Eaton, of Dover; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Jo Anne McKinney, of Sandyville; several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in East Sparta Cemetery with Minister Victor Slutz officiating. There will be no calling hours.
