Robert Maurer

Robert M. Maurer,

Age 76, of Mineral City, passed away Wed., Apr. 22, 2026. He was born July 18, 1949, in Canton, a son of the late Robert and Patricia (Heck) Maurer. Robert was a 1967 graduate of Tusky Valley High School, served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a former member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Mineral City. He retired from Conrail Railroad where he was a brakeman; later he worked in then mechanical shop where he became foreman. Survived by his wife, Patricia Maurer; three sons, Michael (Misty) Maurer, Bryan Maurer, and Christopher (Jen) Maurer; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Tallman and Patilyn Strong; and his beloved dog Tiny. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Michael Donavin Maurer. The family would like to thank all who cared for Robert, especially Aultman Hospice and Bolivar Aultman Physicians and staff. A private graveside service will be held in German Cemetery.
