Robert L. Cordray

Age 70, of Malvern, passed away Wed., March 8, 2017.  He was born July 31, 1946, in Woodsfield, OH, a son of the late Aulden and Almeda (Hoff) Cordray, and had been a resident of the Canton area most of his life.  Bob was a 1965 graduate of McKinley High School.  He retired from the Timken Co. after 30 years' service.  Bob served in the U. S. Army during the Viet Nam War.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert "Robbie" Cordray II and a brother, Allan Cordray.  He is survived by his wife, Carolyn J. (West) Cordray, with whom he would have celebrated their 49th Wedding Anniversary on May 4th; one daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and James C. Hanlin; one son, James Cordray;  five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, Aaron (Ryan Schmidt) Hanlin, James R. (Jessica) Hanlin, and their children, Jayden and Jaxson, Nicole (Harold Davis) Hanlin, and their son, Elliot, James C. (Megan) Hanlin II, and their daughter, Lily, and Ayden Hanlin; also one sister, Nancy (Joe) Fomich.  Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Aaron Hanlin officiating.  Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens with Military Honors.  Friends may call Monday 1-2 p.m. before the service.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
