Robert F. Heggy Age 92, of North Canton, passed away Friday evening in Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Canton, a son of the late Frank and Marie Heggy, and was a life resident of this area. Bob was a 1936 graduate of McKinley High School and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio State University. He retired Oct. 1, 1983 from The Timken Co., after 32 years and eight months service, where he was a Design Engineer. Bob had been a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survived by his wife, Doris J. Heggy, with whom he would have celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary on Aug. 17, 2011, and his son, Ben Heggy, of Champion, PA. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with his good friend, Larry Kehl, officiating. Interment in North lawn Cemetery.
