Robert H. Guinther
Age 73, of Cambridge, passed away Thursday in Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Canton, a son of the late Richard and Mary (Strong) Guinther, resided in Cambridge ten years, previously Michigan. Bob was a 1958 graduate of Canton South High School. He was a former Diebold employee and also was a Baptist minister in Michigan. Bob was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Byesville. He loved sports, especially Ohio State and the Cleveland Indians, but mostly he loved serving the Lord. Bob served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. Preceded in death by a brother, David Bruder. Survived by his daughter, Beth Dedmon, of Canton; his son, and daughter-in-law, Brian and Mia Guinther, of Indian Trail, NC; four grandchildren, Kirsten and Courtney Dedmon, and Morganne and Brendan Guinther; one sister, Barbara J. Ross, of Canton; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Richard Guinther, Sr., of Canton South, and Bill and Cheryl Bruder, of New London; several nieces and nephews; and his great-aunt, Rita Strong, of Florida. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Leathley and Rev.Delaney Young officiating.
