Robert M. Dycus Age 57, of Canton, passed away Thursday evening in Aultman Hospital. He was born in Canton, a son of Helen Shine Dycus of Waynesburg, and the late Fred Dycus, was raised in Waynesurg, and had been a Canton resident 32 years. Bob was a 1971 graduate of Sandy Valley High School. He was a former ironworker and was a member of Iron Workers Local #550 in Canton. Surviving besides his mother is his sister and brother-in-law, Sheryl and Donald Gortney, of Magnolia; a nephew, Jeffrey Gortney and his wife, Miriam, and their daughter, Rachel; a niece, Lisa Bernower and her husband, James, and their children, Tessa and Boyd; also Bob's special friends, Virginia and Denise Barnes. A private service will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Peggy Garner officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.
