Beck
February 18, 1955 – February 19, 2022
Age 67, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly Sat., February 19, 2022. He was born Feb. 18, 1955, in Canton, a son of the late John and Heidi (Graub) Beck. Bob was a life resident of Canton and was a 1974 graduate of Perry High School. Bob attended Malone University and Ashland University where he majored in Music Theory, Organ Performance, and Choral Directing. He was an Organ Voicer for the A. R. Schopps Organ Co., was the Resident Organist at the Historical Canton Palace Theatre for 35 years and provided the music for the Shirley School of Dance for 40 years. Through the gift of music, Bob has touched thousands of lives. He was a member of First Lutheran Church where he had been organist for 37 years, member and Past Master of the former Lathrop Lodge #676, F. & A.M., and now Canton Lodge #60, F. & A.M., the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Canton, the American Guild of Organists, and the Organ Historical Society.
Survived by his wife, Vickie (Hothem) Beck, with whom he would have celebrated their 36th Wedding Anniversary on July 19th, his son and daughter-in-law, Tristan (Kalie) Beck, and his two granddaughters, Gracie, and Ellie. Bob loved being a Grandpa. He is also survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dick (Nancy) Beck, and James (Sandy) Beck, as well as his special Shih Tzu, Marley.
Funeral services will be held on Sat. at 1:00 p.m. at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Diana Thompson officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church. Masonic Services will be held at 10:15 a.m. Sat. at the church. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Uniontown. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob's memory may be made to: First Lutheran Church, 909 E.
