RITA K. WALTER, Age 87, of Magnolia, passed away Sat. morning in her residence. Born in Akron, a daughter of the late Theodore and Elizabeth Wodtley Keller, she had been a Magnolia resident since May 2011, previously residing in Melbourne, FL, and Akron. Rita was a 1941 graduate of Akron North High School, attended St. James Catholic Church in Waynesburg, and retired in 1991 from Mnemonics where she was a word processor. Preceded in death by her husband, Ola Walter, on Sept. 9, 1997, two brothers and two sisters. Survived by three daughters, Kitty Walter and Mary Beth Creque, both of Magnolia, and Chris Chess, of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mark and Toni Walter and Marty Walter, all of Melbourne, FL; fifteen grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wed. at 10 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church in Waynesburg with Fr. Joseph Zamary officiating. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rita's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
