Richard R. Zurfley II

age 73, of Canton, passed away Tuesday Jan. 3, 2023.  He was born May 27, 1949 in Dover, OH, a son of the late Paul Baker and Peggy (Beers) Baker, and had been a Canton resident since 1968.  Richard was a 1968 graduate of Sandy Valley High School, and was a retired self-employed carpenter.  He was a member of Trinity Gospel Temple.  Richard honorably served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Richard III and Matthew Zurfley.  Richard is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marjorie J. Zurfley, two sons, Russell (Tonya) Zurfley and Paul Zurfley; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; one sister and one brother, Tammie Baker-Woodward and Fred Baker.
