RICHARD W. HAMMERLY,

Age 76, of Massillon, passed away Thur., Jan. 29, 2015 in his residence.  Born in Canton, a son of the late William and Delores (Yarmin) Hammerly, he had been a resident of the Canton area most of his life, also residing in Kent for many years.  Richard was a 1956 graduate of Central Catholic High School and was a member of the Massillon Recreation Center.  He retired from the Chrysler Stamping Plant in 2001 after 42 years service, where he was a die maker.  Preceded in death by two daughters, Barbara Walsh and Deborah Schiele.  Survived by his wife, Julia Hammerly, with whom he celebrated their 13th Wedding Anniversary on May 4, 2014; one daughter, Julie Wilkerson, of North Canton; one son, Richard Hammerly, of IN; two stepdaughters, Tamara Brozovic, of Canton, and Laura Rose and her husband Randy, of KY; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Fran Hammerly, of Wadsworth; and 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  Services will be held Tues. at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home in Canton.  Interment in North Lawn Cemetery.  Friends may call Mon. from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
