Richard C. Green

Age 86, of Waynesburg, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, passed away Sat., Oct. 5, 2024.  He was born Dec. 19, 1937 in Mineral City, OH, a son of the late Clarence and Edna (King) Green, and had been a Waynesburg resident since 1957.  Richard retired in 1997 from The Timken Company, after 31 years' service as a material handler.  He loved his cars and trucks, but most of all he was devoted to making sure everyone had what they needed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Barbara J. Green, on Dec. 3, 2021, and a brother, Jim Green.  Richard is survived by a daughter and two sons, Aimee DiMinno, David (Sharon) Green, and Aaron Green; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Scott (Korina) Green, Tina Perry, and her children, Alyson and Natalie Perry, Seth DiMinno and Tyler DiMinno; a sister and brother, Betty Page and John Green; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Green and Barbara Ashby; nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Janet McConnell; and he also left behind his beloved dog, Mikey.

Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Deacon Dave Kenney officiating.  Friends may call Sunday 2-4 p.m.  Interment will be in Union Cemetery in Louisville.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
