Richard D. "Rick" Britton, Jr.
Age 53, of Dellroy, went home to be with the Lord Friday evening in his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Canton, a son of the late Richard D. and Kathaleen Pasco Britton, Sr., grew up in the Canton South area, and had resided in the Sandyville, Magnolia, and Dellroy area many years. Rick was an employee of Nickles Bakery the past 10 years, where he was a mixer-operator, and previously ran the gas station at the Crossroads for over 15 years. He was an avid fisherman. Survived by his wife, Linda S. Britton, with whom he celebrated their 15th Wedding Anniversary on June 24th; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kaitlyn Britton and Devon Small, of Malvern, Traci Winter and Ronni and Brad Hadden, all of Magnolia; two sons, Joey Winter, Jr., of Dellroy, and Daryl Winter, of Rome, OH; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carla and Jeff Latham, of Wartrace, TN, and Kathy Rucker, of East Sparta; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Karen Britton, of Canton; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; also numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services will be conducted Wed. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Steve Kimbrel officiating. Interment in Harmony Cemetery in Rose Township. Friends may call Tuesday 1-3 & 6-8 p.m. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Aultman Hospice for the love and care they gave to Rick during his illness. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rick's memory may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
