Richard W. "Dick" Bowman,
age 81, of Magnolia, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026. He was born October 2, 1944, in Canton, a son of the late Warren and Dorotha (Hookway) Bowman. Dick was a 1963 graduate of Sandy Valley High School and retired in 2002 from Hilscher-Clarke as an electrician. He raised British White cattle on his family's 210-year-old farm and was a member of I.B.E.W. #540 in Canton. Dick enjoyed classic cars, but especially loved spending time with his family. He was a kind, hardworking, and humble man who was always willing to lend a hand and quietly put others before himself. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Bowman. He is survived by his wife, Lydia (DuBois) Bowman; one daughter, Leigh (Matt) Crone; two sons, Adam (Samantha) Bowman and Aaron (Macy) Bowman; one sister, Carol (Bruce) Bagley; and one brother, James (Janice) Bowman. Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home with his brother-in-law, Bruce Bagley, officiating. Interment will follow in Bowman Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 5:00–7:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00–11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
