Raymond R. "Bob" Rennie
Age 77, of Akron, passed away Sat. morning in St. Luke Lutheran Community of Portage Lakes. He was born in Canton, a son of the late Robert R. and Elizabeth (Johnson) Rennie, was raised in Magnolia and has resided in Akron since 1960. Bob was a 1953 graduate of Magnolia High School. He retired in February of 1986 from General Motors Corp., after 24 1/2 years' service, where he was a mechanic. He was of Lutheran Faith and served in the U.S. Army from 1957-59. Survived by his wife, Mary E. Rennie, with whom he celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary on July 7, 2012; one daughter, Laure Palmeri and her fiance, Greg Driggs, of Youngtown, AZ; Bill Palmeri, of Akron; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, Michael Palmeri and his wife, Michelle, and their children, Betty, Alethea, Madison, and Mackenzie, Rebecca Palmeri and Larry Porter, and Tony Palmeri; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ralph and Sally Rennie, Russell and Carol Rennie, and Ronald Rennie, all of Morges; numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held Wed. at 11 a.m.in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Andrew Riggs officiating. Interment in New Cumberland Cemetery with Military Honors.
