Obituary

RAY C. SICKAFOOSE,

Age 81, of Waynesburg, passed away Nov. 7, 2014.  Born in Waynesburg, a son of the late Herbert and Mabel (Moffett) Sickafoose, he had been a life resident of Waynesburg.  Ray was a 1950 graduate of Waynesburg High School, served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and retired in 2004 from Bitzel Excavating after 15 years service as a truck driver.  Previously he owned and operated Waynesburg Sohio and had worked at Colton's Hardware.  He was a member of First Christian Church in Malvern, Sandy Valley American Legion Post #432 in Waynesburg, served 57 years with the Waynesburg Volunteer Fire Department and drove for Quad Ambulance for 25 years.  Preceded in death by his sister Gladys Barrick and his brother Glen Sickafoose.  Survived by his wife, Barb Sickafoose, with whom he celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary on Aug. 29th; one daughter, Debra Sickafoose, of Waynesburg; two sons and one daughter-in-law, David Sickafoose, of Waynesburg, and Todd and Alison Sickafoose, of East Sparta; one sister, Doris Krider, of Mapleton; and three grandchildren, Alyssa and Tori Sickafoose, and Giovana Cline.  Services will be held Wed. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Kenny Thomas officiating.  Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.  Friends may call Tues. from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ray's memory may be made to Sandy Valley American Legion Post #432, P.O.
