Ray A. Nagey

Age 82, of Alliance, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017.  He was born in Canton, a son of the late Arthur and Florence (Poland) Nagey, was raised in Minerva, resided in Canton and Dalton, and then Alliance since 2007.  Ray was a 1953 graduate of Minerva high School.  He had been a custodian at John Knox Presbyterian Church for years 22 after retiring from TRW in Minerva where he was a finisher.  He had served in the U. S. Army Reserves.  Ray was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Patricia (Lyon) Nagey, on May 31, 1995.  He is survived by two daughters, Penny (Scott) Bush and Terry Provitt, a sister, Connie Moses, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  The family will hold a Celebration of Life at Holy Lamb of God Church in Alliance on Friday at 1 p.m.  The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
