Ralph G. Foster
Age 75, of Waynesburg, passed away Sat. morning in Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia. He was born in East Canton, a son of the late Eugene and Helen (Miller) Foster, and had been a Waynesburg resident most of his life. Ralph was a 1956 graduate of Sandy Valley High School where he played basketball. He retired in 2008 from Whitacre-Greer Fireproofing Co. in Waynesburg, after 50 years service, where he managed both the Magnolia Plant and the Morges Oil & Gas Division, and was Maintenance Supervisor of the Alliance Plant. He also farmed and operated a Laundromat. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Eric Joseph, two sisters, Linda Wiandt and Nancy Luther, and a half-brother, Clayton "Red" Purdy. Survived by his wife, Ethel M. Foster, with whom he would have celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary on August 8th; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sharon and Doug Crawford, of North Canton, Kathy Foster, of Waynesburg, and Joanne and Thomas Bisesi, of Canton; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Michele Foster, of North Canton; one sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Robert Lehman, of Chester, VA; seven grandchildren, Andrew, Brian, and Alexis Crawford, and Dominic, Danielle, Nathan, and Natalie Bisesi. Services will be held Wed. at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Jamie Walters officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.
