Ralph W. Dazey

Age 94, of East Sparta, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021.  He was born June 20, 1927 in Richville, OH, a son of the late Charles and Vesta (Phillips) Dazey, and was a life resident of this area.   Ralph was a 1947 graduate of Canton Township High School where he excelled at football under Coach Red Ash..  He retired in 1992 from Sandy Valley Local Schools, where he was a custodian at Waynesburg Elementary School and previously worked 35 years at Dyneer Corporation where he was a machine set-up man.  Ralph had coached Little League Baseball in East Sparta for fifteen years.  He was a member of East Sparta United Methodist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters, Leonard Dazey, Grace Hendershot, and Lois Clapper.  Ralph is survived by his wife, Lois E. Dazey, with whom he would have celebrated their 72nd Wedding Anniversary on Sept. 4th, two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Patty Dazey, and James and Donnetta Dazey, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Stephanie Dazey and her daughter, Marina Warner, Marie Marcoaldi and her sons, Joey, Vinny and Luca Marcoaldi, Nicholas & Nicole Dazey, and their children, Albert and Octavia, Ashlee and Cass  Stormer, and Justan and Monica Dazey, one sister, Vesta Reehl, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Joshua Daniels officiating.  Friends may call Friday 10-11 a.m. before the service.  A private family interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ralph's memory may be made to East Sparta United Methodist Church, P.O.
