Phyllis E. Norris

Age 71, of Magnolia, passed away Sunday Nov. 17, 2019.  She was born Oct. 5, 1948 in Canton, a daughter of the late William and Eleanor (Hershberger) Getz, and had been a Magnolia resident since 1982.  Phyllis was a 1966 graduate of Jackson High School.  Shewas employed at the Honey Road Auto Salvage in the Atwood Lake area for a number of years, where she worked in the office.  Phyllis was a member of the Dover Baptist Temple.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Pfanstiel.  She is survived by her husband, John W. Norris, with whom she celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on April 26th; one son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Josieanna Norris, three grandchildren, Morgan Norris, Megan Norris, and John Robert William Norris; one brother, Dan (Freddie) Getz, and a special niece, Cheryl Baal.  Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Christopher Rhodes officiating.  Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville.  Friends may call Wed.
