Phyllis A. Cross
Age 84, of Canton, passed away Wed., June 5, 2024. She was born August 5, 1939 in Cambridge, OH, a daughter of the late Mabel Ruth Rice, and had resided in the Canton and Waynesburg area most of her life. She liked Oldies Bands and loved to dance, and her nickname was Shake & Bake.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a son and daughter, Ann Sanders and Edward Moczek, a son-in-law, Mike Cooney, and two grandsons, Jason and Joshua Worrell. Phyllis is survived by a son and two daughters, Daniel (Dorothy) Davis, and their sons, Daniel and Desmond; Lisa Cooney, and her daughter, Kelly (Tim) Brown, and their children, Jaiyden, Maiyson, and Briar; Linda (Tyson) Fisher, and her daughter, Harley Worrell; Phyllis' son-in-law, Ed Sanders, and his and Ann's sons, Shawn and Jeremy; Edward's daughters, Christina and Heather Moczek, and Heather's daughter, Saliah; many great-grandchildren and a very special friend, Bill Brookover.
Services will be held Wed., June 12th at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Gary Smith, Celebrant, officiating. Friends may call Wed. from 9:30-11 a.m. before the service. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery in Malvern. Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
