Paul W. Wahl,

Age 92, of East Sparta, passed away Mon., July 13, 2026. He was born Feb. 27, 1934, in Louisville, OH a son of the late Otto and Hazel (McCammon) Wahl. Paul served with the U.S. Army, retired from the Timken Co. where he was a Lathe Operator and was a member of Church of the Holy Trinity in Zoar.

Preceded in death by his sisters, Martha McLaughlin and Elizabeth Wolford, his brother, Bob Wahl, his sister-in-law, Sandi Wahl, and two brothers-in-law, Cyril Burkhart and Bill McLaughlin. Survived by his wife, Marie Wahl; one daughter, Renee Wahl; two sons, Stephen (Cheryl) Wahl, and Daniel Wahl; two sisters, Rosemary Burkhart, and Evelyn (Karl) Fahrni; five brothers Fredrick Wahl, Ray (Diane) Wahl, Joseph (Patricia) Wahl, David Wahl, and James Wahl; eleven grandchildren, Rachel Broad, Cassandra (Xavier) Fosnaught, Aiden Cross, Sarah (Kevin) Long, Andrew Uitto, Matthew (Lonna) Uitto, Jacob Wahl, Meghan Wahl, Kyle Wahl, Nahlina Wahl, and Kynsley Wahl; and five great grandchildren, Alexis Long, Madelyn Long, Olivia Long, Claire Uitto, and Gabriel Uitto.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Mon. at 1pm in Church of the Holy Trinity in Zoar. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery with military honors. Friends may call two hours before the service, from 11am to 1pm, in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Paul’s memory may be made to Church of the Holy Trinity, 1835 Dover-Zoar Rd.
