Paul J. Medley

Age 80, of Canton, passed away Monday, August 12, 2024.  He was born March 10, 1944 in New Philadelphia, OH, a son of the late Lester "Jack" and Martha (Marburger) Medley, and was a Canton resident most of his life.  Paul was a 1962 graduate of Timken Vocational High School.  He retired in 2003 from the Hoover Company after 38 years' service, where he worked in experimental engineering.  While at Hoover's he was very active in the AFL-CIO Union. He attended Missionview Church, and Sharyn greatly appreciated all the time Pastor Dave spent with she and Paul during his illness.  From 1999-2017 they lived in Cape Coral, FL, and felt it was the best years of their life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Medley, in 2017.  Paul is survived by his wife, Sharyn Medley, with whom he celebrated their 59th Wedding Anniversary on Feb. 20th; one daughter and son, Paula Jean Medley and Jack (Thersa) Medley; three grandchildren, Taylor, Alea, and Ren Sisson.
