Paul F. Butler,

Age 84, of Carrollton, passed away Sun., Mar. 16, 2025 after his third courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 30, 1940, in Clarington, OH, a son of the late Thomas and Minnie (Miller) Butler.  Paul served in the U.S. Army Reserves and retired from Metaullics Systems LP as a Foreman. He was loved by all who knew him. Paul believed strongly in his faith and in God and served as a Deacon in his church for several years. He enjoyed spending his free time outside and with his family. Paul was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he took pride in teaching his children and grandchildren the sport as well. Every April he would go fishing for white bass with his wife in the streams by Atwood Lake. Paul also liked farm life and growing his own garden. He could grow pretty much anything. Paul was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, great great grandfather. He was his daughter's superhero and a much-loved man.

Survived by his wife, Ruth Butler, 5 Children, son Raymie (Linda) Butler of Waynesburg, daughter Juanita (Chad) Grimes of Canton, daughter Tammie (Lisa) of North Lawrence, daughter Angie Haney of Malvern, daughter Michelle Petrime of East Rochester, 3 brothers and 5 sisters, 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brothers Jim Butler, Ray Butler, Vincent Ross and sisters Barb Grindstaff, Elsie Scaglione, Suzie Butler and Norma Butler.

A Memorial Service will be held Sat., Apr. 5, 2025, at 1pm in New Vine Baptist Church in Malvern.  Friends may call two hours before the service, from 11am to 1pm, in the church.  The Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia is in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Paul's memory may be made to: Ruth Butler (wife) 4241 Ruby Rd NW Carrollton, Oh 44615.
