Patrick L. "Patt" Jones
Age 72, of North Canton, passed away Sunday evening in his home surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born in Dillonvale, OH, a son of the late Wyndham and Vera Novasky Jones, and resided in the Canton area most of his life. Patt was a 1956 graduate of Middlebranch High School. He retired in 2003 from The Hoover Co., after 38 years service, where he was a pieceworker. He also worked at Plaza Lanes for 14 years and had a lawnmower shop for many years. He was a member of Dueber United Methodist Church, Louisville Eagles, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local #1985. Patt was an avid bowler for many years and had a 300 game on Dec. 3, 1961. Preceded in death by a son, Rodney Jones, in 1977, and a brother, Lindy Jones. Survived by his loving wife, Judy Jones; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jolene and Tom Calhoun, of Streetsboro, OH, and Cheryl Weaver, of Massillon; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Randy Jones, of East Canton, and Ron and Kris Jones, of Louisville; 11 grandchildren, Ashley, Zach, Amanda, Travis, Allison, Bobby, Branden, Emilee, Michael, Tyler, and Rachel; one great-granddaughter, Joslynn; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Delores "Sis" Williams, of Glendale, AZ, Lorrie and Paul Peterson, of West Palm Beach, FL, Maxine and Chuck Perry, of North Canton, and JoAnn and Phil Turley, of Pelham, AL; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Wyndham "Butch" and Helga Jones, and John "Jock" and Chris Jones, all of West Palm Beach, FL, Robert and Velma Jones, of Louisville. Services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Hogsed officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday 10-11 a.m. before the service.
